MEALS

SHANGLOO HOUSEBOATS(Mahjong Group) has a large, well supplied  kitchen that caters to our guests and remains open until midnight. We have a team of skilled and experienced chefs, having expertise in preparing all cuisines and desserts. Meals are cooked under extreme hygienic  conditions and due care is given to palatial tastes and deliciousness. Traditionally, houseboats don't have a menu  system. This unique system is in place since the times of the British Raj.  As such, meals are cooked as per the choice of our guests . They are served Indian,Continental,Chinese and Kashmiri wazwan(on demand) and local delicacies. A range of meal plans is available to them to choose from. For instance, room with breakfast,room with breakfast and dinner or room with breakfast,dinner and lunch. Pack lunches are also provided on order. Both vegetarian and non vegetarian meals are available to our guests. After meals famous Kashmiri brew known world over  as 'kehwa' or green tea is served as a treat. Every meal is accompanied by a sweet dish or some dessert and fresh fruits.
For large groups buffet is arranged in our specially made dinning hall, set up in a beautifully laid garden, adjacent to our houseboats. The spacious dining hall can accommodate about 60 people at a time.
