 Kashmir has fascinated visitors with its monumental heritage from time immemorial. These majestic remains bear witness to a rich and highly sophisticated civilization that once existed on subcontinent . For instance, ruins of a huge temple at Avantipur village,on the way to famous hill resort of Pahalgam, and the remains of the magnificent Sun temple (photo above) built on Martand karewa are just two beautiful specimen of that progressive civilization.
